Thomas asks…

Why are the rude fit jeans from Hot Topic different sizes?

Ok so i have bought 3 rude fit black jeans at Hot Topic and only one fits tight like i like it and its stretchy and such. They are all the same size(waist=26 and length=30) 2 pairs are looser than one of them which is the good one…Can anyone help? I have washed 2 of the 3 and the pair that is the smallest which i like has been washed. So why are the other ones bigger or not as tight if they are the same size???

OMG help me please!

datepolish answers:

All jeans vary in sizing, say you buy a size 26 in three different pairs of jeans, they will all be different because of the style and fit.

George asks…

How do you use Hot topic Pigment Shadow?

I bought pigment shadow from Hot Topic because it was on sale and it was pretty bright colors but I have know idea how to use it! The pallet colors look like the consistency of lip gloss. Help Me!!!
Thank You!

datepolish answers:

I have that too, they were like $1 so I got them. I don’t know how to use them either! :( I came across your question because I searched for how to use them, hoping someone would know. I think people think you’re talking about really vivid shadows, but these are like almost greasy or slimy and vivid in the case but very sheer when they go on skin, like lip gloss. They come with a sponge applicator but whenever I tried to use it it just looked smeared or even with an eyeshadow brush. The best thing I’ve found is to use your finger and like pat it on there, but I haven’t found a good use for any of them yet, except I use the silver one and gold one (idk what pallet you got, but i have silver and gold in mine) as a highlighting color on my brow bone.

Donna asks…

What size shirts should I buy from Hot Topic?

I am ordering some new shirts online from Hot Topic but I have never bought shirts from there before. Normally, I wear size small shirts in misses; since Hot Topic‘s shirts are in juniors’ sizes, would I order a medium? Or would it be best to go with a large?

datepolish answers:

Medium one.

Joseph asks…

What our some good stores that our like hot topic in tennessee?

Online or in stores please help. :3

datepolish answers:

Maria asks…

Maria asks…

A Martha Stewart Christmas?

Dear Santa:

I rarely ask for much. This year is no exception. I don’t need diamond earrings, handy slicer-dicers or comfy slippers. I only want one little thing, and I want it deeply.

I want to slap Martha Stewart.

Now, hear me out, Santa. I won’t scar her or draw blood or anything. Just one good smack, right across her smug little cheek. I get all cozy inside just thinking about it. Don’t grant this wish just for me, do it for thousands of women across the country. Through sheer vicarious satisfaction, you’ll be giving a gift to us all. Those of us leading average, garden variety lives aren’t concerned with gracious living.

We feel pretty good about ourselves if our paper plates match when we stack them on the counter, buffet-style for dinner. We’re tired of Martha showing us how to make centerpieces from hollyhock dipped in 18-carat gold. We’re plumb out of liquid gold. Unless it’s of the furniture polish variety. We can’t whip up Martha’s creamy holiday sauce, spiced with turmeric. Most of us can’t even say turmeric, let alone figure out what to do with it.

OK, Santa, maybe you think I’m being a little harsh. But I’ll bet with all the holiday rush you didn’t catch that interview with Martha in last week’s USA Weekend. I’m surprised there was enough room on the page for her ego.

We discovered that not only does Martha avoid take-out pizza (she’s only ordered it once), she refuses to eat it cold (No cold pizza? Is Martha Stewart living?) When it was pointed out that she could microwave it, she replied, “I don’t have a microwave.”

The reporter, Jeffrey Zaslow, noted that she said this “in a tone that suggests you shouldn’t either.”

Well, lah-dee-dah. Imagine that, Santa!

That lovely microwave you brought me years ago, in which I’ve learned to make complicated dishes like popcorn and hot chocolate, has been declared undesirable by Queen Martha. What next? The coffee maker?

In the article, we learned that Martha has 40 sets of dishes adorning an entire wall in her home. Forty sets. Can you spell “overkill”? And neatly put away, no less. If my dishes make it to the dishwasher that qualifies as “put away” in my house!

Martha tells us she’s already making homemade holiday gifts for friends. “Last year, I made amazing silk-lined scarves for everyone,” she boasts. Not just scarves mind you. Amazing scarves. Martha’s obviously not shy about giving herself a little pat on the back. In fact, she does so with such frequency that one has to wonder if her back is black and blue.

She goes on to tell us that “homemaking is glamour for the 90s,” and says her most glamorous friends are “interested in stain removal, how to iron a monogram, and how to fold a towel.” I have one piece of advice, Martha: “Get new friends.”

Glamorous friends fly to Paris on a whim. They drift past the Greek Islands on yachts, sipping champagne from crystal goblets. They step out for the evening in shimmering satin gowns, whisked away by tuxedoed chauffeurs. They do not spend their days pondering the finer art of toilet bowl sanitation. Zaslow notes that Martha was named one of America’s 25 most influential people by Time magazine (nosing out Mother Theresa, Madeline Allbright and Maya Angelou, no doubt).

The proof of Martha’s influence: after she bought white-fleshed peaches in the supermarket, Martha says, “People saw me buy them. In an instant, they were all gone.” I hope Martha never decides to jump off a bridge.

A guest in Martha’s home told Zaslow how Martha gets up early to rollerblade with her dogs to pick fresh wild blackberries for breakfast.

This confirms what I’ve suspected about Martha all along: She’s obviously got too much time on her hands. Teaching the dogs to rollerblade. What a show off.

If you think the dogs are spoiled, listen to how Martha treats her friends: She gave one friend all 272 books from the Knopf Everyman Library. It didn’t cost much. Pocket change, really. Just $5,000. But what price friendship, right?

When asked if others should envy her, Martha replies, “Don’t envy me. I’m doing this because I’m a natural teacher. You shouldn’t envy teachers. You should listen to them.” Zaslow must have slit a seam in Martha’s ego at this point, because once the hot air came hissing out, it couldn’t be held back. “Being an overachiever is nothing despicable. It is only admirable. Never lower your standards,” says Martha.

And of her Web Page on the Internet, Martha declares herself an “important presence” as she graciously helps people organize their sad, tacky little lives. There you have it, Santa. If there was ever someone who deserved a good smack, it’s Martha Stewart. But I bet I won’t get my gift this year.

datepolish answers:

Do you feel better for venting…….I started to read your…I’ll called it a statement and I lost interest, kind of like why I stopped watching the Martha Stewart Show…. She would ask a question and butt in and would never give a person a chance to answer.

Susan asks…

US Govrnnment or Contractor Jobs in Germany?

I want to know how to go about getting a civilian position with the US military (or other US government agencies) or alternatively, one with a US contractor. I’m also considering a CPOL program, though I can’t find much information on their website. I have concluded that this is the least restrictive way to get to Germany. I’d like to live and work there for at least a few years (current minimum estimate: 2 years).

My background: I’m a bilingual American woman. I’m a beginner level German student. Bachelor’s in Biology and Master’s in Health Administration, both from top 40 schools if it matters. My 2 years of work experience is in health education/advocacy (including a group that I began independently) and K-12 TEFL. If I can find something health advocacy-related (I haven’t so far), it’d be great though I’m open to a variety of work opportunities. I have informal/volunteer work experience with low-income families and people who are homeless.

I’m working on building a great federal resume after doing lots of research on what the different agencies are looking for. I may even get a federal resume editor to polish it up for me. I have found a few positions on USAJobs. The difficult part: IF they are even interested, what happens then? I’m a US citizen but I live in Asia. I’m thinking of moving to Germany early if I get an assuring level of interest.

Now on to the contractors: what are their names? What sort of positions do they have available? The information I’ve found has been vague and some sites required fees so I didn’t sign up.

Can one get hired without actually being in Germany or the US?

Any input would be valued. Thank you.
At no point did I suggest that Germany is a US colony. I love many parts of German culture and US government presence there works out well for me as it would for any American who loved Japan and Korea, two other amazing, unique and independent countries. I live abroad and have done so off and on for over 10 years of my life.

I am fully bilingual. My second language is not German. I am in the process of learning German. From my experience, it’s deceptive at best to suggest that one needs to speak another language fully to explore horizons. This is not at all true. The best way to learn a language is through immersion. You can certainly get by without speaking the language well, but to thrive, it is essential.

I apologize for posting in the wrong area. I’m not that familiar with Yahoo Answers.

datepolish answers:

First of all this section is Travel Germany you would better ask in section military since you don’t even ask to get a job in Germany.

To answer your question
There are special websites of the US army and government which answer most of your questions!

Sandy asks…

Would you call this person weird or just their behavior???

Please allow me to name some behaviors from this woman:
[all in front of me, shes an older woman]

Cleaning her reading glasses, by licking each lense, and then wiping the lenses dry with her t-shirt

Excessively making huge slurping noises, while drinking out of her water bottle

Dipping her fingers in and out of a nail polish remover, while giving me strange weird looks

Could not be nothing, but this person started just acting in subtle weird ways, for like 2 years now. Maybe its an onset of something or this person is becoming eccentric….

BTW, im a younger woman.
OR, am I weird for noticing all these little things, and allowing it to irritate me…?
Yah I thought about that too. Is she doing it while I’m just there or is it a universal behavior she does in front of other people. I will watch for this.

datepolish answers:

Well, as for the nail polish, she may not actively be looking “AT” you, just kinda dreaming out in lala land…

As for the rest, those are a little odd to do, but maybe she doesn’t even realize that she does them. If it really irks you, buy her one of those mini glasses-cleaning kits and leave it on her desk. I don’t think you’re going to be able to do anything about the slurping, some people just slurp with age.

And no, you’re not weird for noticing… You’re observant. That’s good.

Steven asks…

What’s in a name…?

A businessman boards a flight and is lucky enough to be seated next to a gorgeous woman.

They exchange brief hellos and he notices she is reading a manual about sexual statistics.

He asks her about it and she replies, “This is a very interesting book about sexual statistics. It identifies that American Indians have the longest average penls and Polish men have the biggest average diameter. By the way, my name is Jill. What’s yours?”

He coolly replies, “Tonto Kawalski, nice to meet you.”

datepolish answers:

Lol. Are the statistics true? If so, are you an American Indian? Lol!!!

Ken asks…

Read and improve my prologue?

Thanks in advance for answering this question :)
Is there any way i could improve my prologue? I have overused adverbs and i will sort this out on my next draft. If you could help me out in that department then i will love you forever!
I know it’s not great but this is my first draft. It should improve as i keep redrafting. (i like to write slowly and make things perfect before i move onto writing the main body of the story).

Here you are:

*She cannot hear me. Not yet anyway. Soon, I will have my vengeance. Soon*. The tainted souls file in, unvoiced glee in the hearts of every mourner. Every mourner besides *her*. She is the last to pay her respects to the woman at the neurotically polished door, the last to be seated near the front of the church; the seats put aside for close relatives and friends of the deceased. She turns heads for her beauty, but also for her blatant disrespect. People I do not care to name, shake their heads in disapproval. *White to a funeral? What cheek!* I hear their thoughts, can taste their misery like a delicacy in French cuisine. These people are worthless to me, she is the one I need. *She* is the key to everything.

This is not all of it because i prefer not to post all of my work on here at once.

datepolish answers:

Alrighty, well might I say this was excellent writing.

I didn’t read it over more than once, but there was one error that I could see:

“People I do not care to name, shake their heads in disapproval.”

There’s no need for a comma there.

Also, try using quotes instead of asterisks. It just makes it easier to read and less confusing.
And I don’t know if this is the Yahoo! Formatting, but before and after dialogue you should always create a new paragraph, unless you write what the character is doing and then their dialogue. For example:

Jimmy saw Bob the Cat walking down the street. “Hey Bob!” Jimmy screeched, jumping up and down.

Here the subject is Jimmy. Jimmy saw Bob. Jimmy said “Hey Bob!”. So since the subject is Jimmy, there’s no need to create another paragraph for his dialogue.

Richard asks…

Are polish girls really that hard to be with?

I like this girl from poland but things are difficult with her some days she’ll flirt with me and the next she’ll ignore me i tired to tell her how i feel but she said it was all to much for her i just don’t understand, anyone else can relate to me i’d like to hear from you.

datepolish answers:

Well you’ve just described women of every nationality I’ve ever come across.

I wouldn’t think Poles are any worse.

Nancy asks…

POLAND !!!!!!!!! …..?

So I am going Poland with these girls I don’t like. It’s a school trip, non of my mates are going. Tickets are booked and I am worried. I have tried being friends with them but they are exclusive what should I do ? How shall I overcome this ? I can’t sleep thinking I am spending seven days with them. It’s the little things like who should I sit with in the airport or walk around in Poland with. Please help … and be nice don’t say I am whining ’cause I am not.

datepolish answers:

Kill them with kindness, it;s one of the hardest things to do, trust me,
but if you pretend to be nice to them, then they might me normal back to you,
you dont have to be friends with them, just ignore them, but dint be rude,

Ruth asks…

how do I stop catty girls at work?!?

I work at a salon/spa that recently hired a new general assistant. Her job is to basically keep on top of laundry (you wouldn’t believe how many towels everyone goes through a day!) cleaning, and occaisonally helping shampoo, if colorists are running behind to keep everything running smoothly. the problem is, all of the colorists are giving her a really hard time! They CONSTANTLY demand her help shampooing out their clients (even when they aren’t running behind at all) order her around… even make fun of her for her accent! (recently moved from poland) This poor girl is running around non stop the whole time she is there trying to do her own job, and picking up all of the lazy colorists slack. Most of the time they have her shampooing people, they are in the back sitting around eating snacks and reading magazines. The other day I walked into the back room where about 10 of the girls were back there complaining about this assistant. And I mean really talking SH!T! they were complaining
that she was lazy (of all things!) if she was too busy to shampoo their guests… (which really, if you were her, would you rather have 1 person yelling at you for not helping them, or 20 people yelling at you for not having any clean towels on the floor… think about it) that she had an attitude problem (this girl is sooo quiet and sweet) and even that the way she swept annoyed them. It really made me angry. They are all over the ages of 25, and they were gosspiing and being malicious like high schoolers. Whats the best way to confront them about it if I ever walk in on a group gossip session again? I’d like to say something along the lines of… it’s not her job to do YOUR JOB so you can go sit on your ass in back for a few minutes and read magazines.. or… stop acting like a bunch of fking high schoolers… but I might have to approach it with a little more tact. any suggestions would be helpful!

datepolish answers:

Wow. Well, I’m glad that you aren’t joining this group and are against their treatment of her.

Is there a Manager that you could discuss this with? If not, it sounds as if you are a pretty strong and confident person and could handle this yourself. Just be calm and respectful when you approach them — individually or as a group. I suspect that they may attack you — verbally. So, if you remain calm, it will make others see who is in the wrong.

Also, try talking with the assistant and help her find the confidence in herself.

Then, get another job and take her with you.

Paul asks…

Why are girls sluts in Middle School?

My mom won’t answer because back in the days in Poland we didn’t have Middle School? Anyways, Everyone last year hated me and called me ugly. Now they go after me (Not making this up). Then they act like Wh0r3$ and strippers. WTF?

datepolish answers:

They are practicing so they can be really good sluts in high school

William asks…

How much to pack to Poland for 53 days ?.?

Like how much of everything.Im going July 10 and staying until August 29.By the way Im a 13 year old girl

datepolish answers:

There is no way to pack enough for 53 days so you have to plan on washing clothes.

Take 8 sets of clothing. Wear one set on the trip, put one complete set of clothing in your carry-on bag, and pack the rest in a suitcase.

Use a rolling suitcase if you can. A small backpack makes a good carry-on and is useful as a day-pack for sightseeing.

Choose things you can mix & match and try very hard to avoid taking anything that needs dry-cleaning.

Take at least one set of dress(ier) clothing & accessories for going to nice restaurants, etc. Unless you are absolutely certain you won’t be doing that.

Take flipflops/sandals and two swimsuits unless you are certain you wont’ go swimming.

Take extra prescription eyeglasses or contacts (if you use them).

Take a small first aid kit with things like aspirin, sinus tablets, band-aids, antacids, antiseptic cream, and sunblock.

Take 2 months of prescription medications (if you take any). Keep the medications in the original packaging from the pharmacy and get a copy of the prescription from your doctor.

Take 2 months of toiletries. It’s not that much: 2 sticks of deodorant instead of one, etc. Same for any makeup you use. Toiletries and makeup are available in Poland, but the brands may not be familiar.

Take a light jacket (with a hood) that is at least semi-waterproof and a sweater.

Hope you have a good trip!

Polish Women ? http://polish-dating.co/dating-advice/polish-women-13/ http://polish-dating.co/dating-advice/polish-women-13/#comments Sat, 28 Apr 2012 02:05:03 +0000 datepolish http://polish-dating.co/dating-advice/polish-women-13/

Sharon asks…

What color nail polish for daily wear is flattering for a 30 something women with short nails?

I have dark hair and eyes, light olive skin and tend to wear a lot of basic colors such as black, chocolate brown, deep blue, brick red, charcoal grey and off-white. I’m not looking to explore crazy new colors…just looking for something to help look poslished!

datepolish answers:

I like French Manicure.

It looks clean, natural and sophisticated

They apply white polish on the tip of your nail. Apply a pale pink or beige on top 1 -2 coats , depending on your liking.

Its suitable for most ages and most people love it.

Donna asks…

Do muslim women wear toe rings and nail polish?

That includes foot jewllery like payal too. And is it customary for them to remain barefooted at home like Hindu women do?

datepolish answers:

It’s really up to the person and how they decide to carry themselves. I know that a lot of muslim women wear scarves around their heads and do not show any skin besides their face an hands so it is hard to know if they wear toe rings or not. As for the nailpolish, I know quite a few muslim women who wear it, and others who don’t. Again it just depends on how you were raised (perhaps a more strict household never allowed makeup/nailpolish as a child)

John asks…

Do you think it would be odd for women above 50 to wear bright colored nail polish?

We’re talking green, bright blue, neon green, possibly little kiddy designs… Wouldn’t you find that odd/not age appropriate?

datepolish answers:

Yes, if not appropriate, it can look trashy. Look for more age appropriate colors, they can still be fun!
Hope I helped! Return the favor? :) My question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AiHaVGpmtyobSozQ0L_XpbIazKIX;_ylv=3?qid=20100415173231AAtyP9G

Michael asks…

I am Polish background. Most of the women in my family like black guys. Is this common in Polish culture?

We are second generation Polish, so we are not directly from Poland….I think it is great by the way… I think love is blind and should be open to all!

datepolish answers:

We are all humans.

Ruth asks…

3 Polish women at the US Open’s semis?

Wozniacki is Polish, Stosur is Polish and Kerber is Polish.

Did you know that?

datepolish answers:

Stosur is as Aussi as they come and plays a style of tennis different to Europeans.

Sandra asks…

Do you like the name Aniela?

It’s a polish girl name and means ‘graceful’.
Thank you!
It’s pronounced an-yell-a :)

datepolish answers:

I think that you should stick a D on the front and just go with Daniela which I think sounds a lot better since Aniela sounds unfinished to me.
Also, when I saw Aniela I assumed it was pronounced like Ann-ee-Ella like Ariella but with an N instead of an R.

Robert asks…

Please rate these names for my daughter?

Hello, my name is Marzena (friends call me Maya) Me and my husband are expecting a baby girl. We are Polish (both born and raised there) so we decided to name our daughter a Polish name. We are currently living in America, so we do not want the name to be too different. We’ve narrowed it down to:

My husband and I are 100% Polish. We were born and raised there, but for schooling we moved to America. We grew quite fond of this country, so decided to stay. I am now pregnant with a girl. We want to give her a Polish name, so she can always have part of her heritage.(Though we plan to visit Poland every summer) We love any suggestions as long as they are Polish. (last name is Soboczy?ska) Can you rate them on a scale of 1-10 and explain?

So far we like:

What do you think of these names for our first daughter?

My husband and I are 100% Polish. We were born and raised there, but for schooling we moved to America. We grew quite fond of this country, so decided to stay. I am now pregnant with a girl. We want to give her a Polish name, so she can always have part of her heritage.(Though we plan to visit Poland every summer) We love any suggestions as long as they are Polish. (last name is Soboczy?ska) Can you rate them on a scale of 1-10 and explain?

Fox News ? http://polish-dating.co/dating-advice/fox-news-3/ http://polish-dating.co/dating-advice/fox-news-3/#comments Wed, 25 Apr 2012 02:05:02 +0000 datepolish http://polish-dating.co/dating-advice/fox-news-3/

Mandy asks…

How come Fox News does not simply read the news to the audience?

I remember when the news was read to us with objectivity and impartiality. We got the facts and very little personal opinion.
Whenever I watch Fox News however, as opposed to simply delivering the news, they introduce some ‘guest’ with a biased opinion who is going to explain everything by way of subjective opinion before the viewer has been made aware of the facts.
Why does the most ‘trusted’ name in news steer from reporting and instead into political debate?

datepolish answers:

Oh but you support the hate from msnbc huh !!!! Hypocrisy ia abound today!!!

Michael asks…

Fox News always says it is the leading News program but their ratings are miniscule compared to real networks?

Why don’t they tell the truth about 3% of the people who watch news watch Fox. The vast majority watch one of the three big networks.

datepolish answers:

Yes

This is true. More people watch CBS News than the FOX NEWS. That is a fact.

Sandra asks…

Why do Fox News and CNN have such a difference in the amount of delegates each candidate has recieved?

I have been watching the 2008 presidential election religiously. I noticed that Obama is a lot closer according to Fox News than he is on CNN. As of this moment, Obama is 42 behind on Fox News, and 72 behind on CNN. How can 2 different news sources have 2 completely different totals?

datepolish answers:

Some results include the superdelegates and some do not. A superdelegate is basically someone with power within the party–Democratic representatives, senators, governors, etc. Superdelegates also include former Presidents (Bill, anyone?), Speakers of the House, Senate Majority and Minority Leaders, and so on. Clinton has more of these superdelegates pledged to her, but some news stations are not counting them until the convention.

Daniel asks…

Is 20th Century Fox financing of the movie Avatar proof that Fox News is just a front for a liberal conspira?

Avatar is clearly Left Wing propaganda and yet it was financed by the same people who own Fox News. Was Fox News set up by Fox to make the Republican movement look like idiots?

datepolish answers:

Fox News is really Rupert Murdoch’s political perspectives disguised as news and Rupert hates all Democrats. He has lots of money and this is how he spends it. His media network in Asia also must agree with his opinions.

Thomas asks…

Why is Fox News giving free media exposure to a couple of class clowns?

A few idiots decide to play retro over an ancient, long ago defunct organization(the surviving founding members of the original black panthers issued a joint statement declaring there was no such thing as a ‘new’ black panthers) and Fox News gives them tons of free media exposure. They’re a nothing/nobody posse that doesn’t matter to anyone. Don’t they know the class clown acts up because he *wants* the attention?

datepolish answers:

Don’t worry about it. The news is slow lately. And the fourteen year old Conservatives are just having fun stoking racial tensions.

Mandy asks…

Can you help me figure out the TAB for this song?

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/r/robert_pattinson/let_me_sign_ver2_tab.htm

I know the basics of TAB. I just don’t know what the 5h4, 2h3, 0h2, 4(feedback), and 6h5 mean. Help Please :]

datepolish answers:

Well, “h” has always ment Hammer-on to me and in other books it means that. But when you go from a higher fret to a lower fret its a pull off. You just go from 5 to 4 withought strumming pretty much. Hope I helped!

Lisa asks…

what does this mean in guitar tabs?

what does the “2/4″ in the tabs mean?

1——————–
2——————–
3—–2/4———–
4——————–

and this

1———————-
2———————-
3———————-
4———————-
5——0h2———–
6——————–x

what is the “oh2″ and “x” mean in the tabs?

datepolish answers:

The 2/4 means slide from the second fret to the fourth fret on the third string

and the 0h2 means hammer on, so pick the 5 string open and then press down on the second fret without picking it

the “x” means to lightly put your finger on top of the string so it makes a muted noise

Maria asks…

I’m trying to learn comfortable by John Mayer on guitar and I need help.?

i use tabs and i’m sorta new at this so can someone explain???
e—0h2—– <WHAT IS THAT???
b—3——–
g—2——
d—0—–

I know how to read tab I just am new to this and idk how to play 0h2..

datepolish answers:

That means on that first E string play it openly “O” and then while its still ringing move your finger fastly to press down on the second fret with the same E string.

They call this “hammer on”
they also have what is called “hammer off” which is pulling your finger off fastly while the string is still ringing.

David asks…

Question on reading guitar tabs?

okay ive come across a tab hat says 0h2. does that mean open string then just touch the second fret ? or what

datepolish answers:

Yea just pick the open string and then put your finger on the second fret.

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/a/aly_and_aj/do_you_believe_in_magic_tab.htm

please help me, guitar experts!

datepolish answers:

The part your having trouble with is how to read tabs. Tabs are just a better way to understand how to play the riff for the solo for that song. Tabs are really pretty simple. It shows where to put your fingers on what strings and what order to pluck them.

The six lines are showing a (right handed) guitar’s neck, the fattest string is on the bottom. You read it from left to right.
The numbers tell you what fret to put your finger [a 0 just means you don’t fret the string to play that note (it’s played open!)]. The “h” stands for “hammer on”, is when you pluck one note and then you use your fret hand to “hammer on” to another higher note (with a different finger). [ a “pull off” (p) is just the opposite, pluck a higher note then pull that finger off to reveal a lower note].

Hope that helps. It’s not really that hard to understand. I don’t believe anyone is really ever able to look at a tab and automatically be able to play it. It is a tool (a road map) that you use to practice so you learn how to play it. Just play it until it sounds right.

Here’s some webpages that explain how to read tab.

Rock on!

Polish Women ? http://polish-dating.co/dating-advice/polish-women-12/ http://polish-dating.co/dating-advice/polish-women-12/#comments Mon, 23 Apr 2012 02:05:04 +0000 datepolish http://polish-dating.co/dating-advice/polish-women-12/

Susan asks…

What is the movie where the women kills people with her red nail polish?

I can’t remember much more about the movie, I just remember her scratching people or something. It’s really bothering me!

datepolish answers:

It’s Holes. She uses the lizard venom and mixes it with her nail polish. She then cratches Jon Voight(that older guy in the movie) and he gets infected. She even tells the main guy about her “plan” as she is putting on the nail polish.

Linda asks…

What is the history behind nail polish? When and where did women began to paint their nails?

datepolish answers:

“Egyptians used nail color to signify social order, with shades of red at the top. Queen Nefertiti, the wife of the king Akhenaton, colored her fingernails and toenails ruby red;….

In the Chou Dynasty of 600 BC, Chinese royalty used gold and silver to enhance their nails. A 15th century Ming manuscript cites red and black as the colors chosen by royalty for centuries previous….

The Incas decorated their fingernails with pictures of eagles. It is unclear how the practice of coloring nails progressed following these beginnings. Portraits from the 17th and 18th centuries include shiny nails….

By the turn of the 19th century, nails were tinted with scented red oils, and polished or buffed with a chamois cloth, rather than simply painted. English and US 19th century cookbooks had directions for making nail paints.”

Mandy asks…

Why am I so attracted to Polish women?

I find them so hot for some reason. Other white women not as much.

datepolish answers:

Same reason some people are attracted to italian men

Nancy asks…

why do some polish women wear headscarves?

this is not to be offensive at all i am just curious
where i live in london uk it is a very polish area and there are many polish women (or at least i am almost sure they are polish) who cover their hair with a scarf, not their whole head but like a headband type thing but a scarf.
does anyone know the reason why they do this?

datepolish answers:

You mean this kinda headscarve??

its an old folk tradition and honestly I dont see many modern woman under 60 that would wear headscarve traditional way. Only older women living in countryside wear headscarves when they go outside or lace head-shawls to church but you wont see it often in a major city. I lived in London for few years and also never met a Polish women in scarf unless its summer and it goes with summer dress, but then its just a fashion statement or a personal style not something related to nationality….so maybe you see Balkan women (they are more likely to wear headscarves)?

Mark asks…

What is the typical look of a Polish Woman?

What is the look of a polish women, e.g facial features, body features, etc.

datepolish answers:

High cheekbones, full lips, defined smallish nose, large eyes… :)
